Before every recess cut for cabinets I sweep with this. It has flagged live wire, copper supply lines, and studs exactly where the demo later proved them to be. Cheap insurance against the change order nobody wants.

Works well once you calibrate on known wall
First scan gave me jumpy readings until I read the manual and calibrated it flat on the wall away from studs. After that it found every stud in the hallway and flagged the wire drop above each outlet. Do the calibration step.
